Bajia De La Paz Artificial Reefs

The main question on everybody's lips concerning these Artificial reefs is whether they can simulate the structure of the marine ecosystem. The sinking of the Fang Ming and LapasN03 cargo ships is going to provide some answers. Both of these ships created what experts call Artificial reefs in area of Bajia de la Paz.

Besides these two ships Bajia de la Paz area also has a couple of coral reefs, which means they were created by the growth of several coral species and also reefs made out of rock. In the Bajia de la Paz area there is a lot of seaweed, corals and other marine organism that played an important role in the creation of these Artificial reefs. Sometimes the sinking ships have so much water vegetation on it that you can barely visualize its initial shape.

The problem with all the reefs is that they attract a lot of people with their beauty but at the same time a lot of visitors also means stressing the reef and his deterioration. The best part about the Artificial reefs is that they offer divers much more options and minimize the possible accident that may occur.

Both Fang Ming and LapasN03 proved that nature has its own plans and it was able to transform useless sunken ships into a good shelter for marine life and also great scuba diving sites for the fans. The Artificial reefs can be used for tourists purposes only and thus leave the natural reefs alone to develop and evolve. An Artificial reefs might also mean fish concentration points and this will enlarge the economic options of the communities that live near the coasts, like is in the case of Baja and all Mexico. If the sunken ships are not hazardous to the environment then nature will follow its course and create such a marvel.
