It is such a great site to dive and see the fish swimming by you side, twisting and turning through the formation of the coral reef. But what most people do not know is not to interfere with the Coral reef fish habits and lifestyle. This is one of the reasons why more and more coral reef fish are being added to the endangered list.
Other reasons are the poachers that steal the Coral reef fish to sell them on the black market and the economical purposes because many of these beautiful fish end up dishes in some extravagant restaurants. Because they are so attractive everybody wants to have them whether it is for recreational, professional or artisanal reasons.
In order to save the Coral reef fish people have started creating some special tanks in which they can reproduce and grow and afterwards they would be released in the sea. Many of these fish are very valuable because of their use to the reef Coral's life cycle and this is why they get to be worth a very high price on the market.
The Coral reef fish that are endangered are not situated just in a single sea or ocean. Here are the four fish that are at most risk of disappearing and the most vulnerable: in the Indo-Pacific region we have Cheilinus undulatus, better know as Napoleon Wrasse and the Seahorse or Hippocampus kuda; in the Caribbean and Brazil the endangered Coral reef fish are the Jewfish or Epinefelus itajara and Nassau grouper or Epinephelus striatus. If immediate measures will not be taken the chances are that these species of Coral reef fish will never be seen again.
