Coral fish are just as exciting to add to your tank as coral, if not more. There are so many different species of coral fish that can be added to the tank that will make for an exiting environment, but before you can add them you have to know how to care for them. Without the proper care, your fish might no survive in the tank. Coral fish are extremely picky in how their environment is set up that if there is anything wrong with it, they will show it. One of the differences between coral fish and other types of fish is just that; their behavior.
You can observe how the coral fish behave in the tank, and adjust anything that needs to be changed based on their behavior. You can also see physical signs of imperfections in the tank on the coral fish. For example, if there is too much salt in the water, you will start to see a filmy white layer developing on the fish. On the other hand, too little salt will cause the fish to not eat, making them "skinnier" than usual. If the water is too warm, they will swim around sluggishly; or too cold, they might not move around much at all.
Adding coral fish to your tank can make for a great environment, but you should properly care for them and ensure that their environment is safe and secure. When it comes to making changes, you should do it in small steps so that the fish adapt easier to the environment. If you make drastic changes it could cause the coral fish to die before they are able to acclimate. If you do all of these things to ensure your fish are happy, they will show it and you can have a wonderful aquarium to show off.
